But never for a day, I gave her any sort of formula milk or anything. In fact, I too had low milk production and the doctor advised me to go on feeding and the production will gradually increase by itself over time. So I fed her and there was a time when I literally bled and my baby actually drank my blood for 2-3 days. Now we joke saying that 'mere bachche ne to asli me mera khoon piya hai'. And after I joined office, I fed my baby whenever I got time. Night time, weekends and off days meant mom's milk for two whole years. My baby was slightly underweight but thanks to breastfeeding, I was able to help her gain her optimal weight and that too in just one month, which meant breastfeeding every two hours. I don't know why some mothers consider it embarrassing to feed their kids. In fact, breastfeeding also helps to reduce all the extra kilos gained during pregnancy much faster.
